Description
Find out the proper way to plant trees and shrubs to give them the best chance of survival. This practical course covers why such planting is important, how to prepare the site and plant the tree or shrub, the tools to use including any necessary on site sharpening or repairs, and the health and safety precautions you need to take.
This course will also provide a general introduction to the importance of hedgerows and why we plant them, awareness of the risks and hazards associated with this type of work, the correct tools and aftercare of the site. You'll get the chance to plant a hedge, using the correct methods to ensure the survival of strong and healthy plants.
Prior skills or experience required
This course is open to all, no prior skills or experience is required.

NCFE accredited certificate at Level 2
