Winches must be regularly serviced, maintained and examined by competent personnel. Winches save a lot of time and effort when removing tree stumps from the ground. If buying a winch for the first time, you will also need at least two slings and you will also require a cable. SHEAR PINS - These pins are designed to break before damaging the winch if the load is too heavy. It is advisable to keep a spare stock of pins. SLINGS - It is preferable to have two slings, one to go around the anchor point and the other around the object to be winched. Nylon slings do not damage the bark on trees.
